Edwards International was established in May 1983, in Dallas, Texas. The objective of the company was to provide outstanding sales service and retail merchandising support to our customers. The company was founded by Joe Edwards, Jr., whose business background included, sales management with Fashion Fair Cosmetics, Flori Roberts Cosmetics, Johnson Products Company and Johnson & Johnson Baby Products Company.

The company, currently known as Power Mark Sales Group was the first African American Manufacturers Representative firm to represent brands such as Maybelline Cosmetics’ “Shades of You Cosmetics”. The company provided market and product placement consultation. Power Mark Sales Group, formerly known as Edwards International, represented numerous manufacturers at the Army Air Force Exchange Service in Dallas, Texas. The company at that time was responsible for managing more than $20 million dollars in manufacturers’ gross sales from 1989 through 1999.

Power Mark Sales Group, formerly known as Edwards International, introduced the concept of wholesale warehouse promotions at the 7 Dollar Beauty Supply in Dallas, Texas. Wholesale warehouse promotions are now utilized by every OTC wholesaler in the United States. These promotions maximize sales distribution.
